What we are looking for

We are a Civil Engineering Contractor seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors for both Ireland and the United Kingdom. These are permanent roles based in various locations around Ireland or at various locations in the United Kingdom depending on the hire location; the roles will include site visits.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 7 years working as a quantity surveyor;
  • Have expertise in commercial and contractual awareness;
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of the construction cycle
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualification;
  • Contractually and commercially astute with a proven track record of managing all commercial aspects of construction from inception to completion.

What you will do

Within the role of Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support to the Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions, organizing and coordinating works on site, safety administration, maintaining records and liaising with management. You will be commercially aware and have the drive and determination to manage strict budgets ensuring the commercial success of projects.

Position Details

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of commercial and contractual function for multiple projects.
  • Be responsible for the implementation and utilization of commercial procedures, tools and processes to the highest standards.
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure the clients commercial & contract policies are properly implemented.
  • Utilize contract administration procedures
  • Maintain an audit file which will include the contract, all correspondence, changes, amendments, clarifications and payment schedules.
  • Monitor and ensure project planned spend is achieved.
