What we are looking for

We are a civil engineering contractor with works in Ireland and the United Kingdom. You will report to the Directors of the company. The company has contracts across a wide spectrum of the industry including pharmaceutical, civils, construction and bulk earthworks.


As a Health and Safety Officer you will have: • Have the relevant third level qualifications • Have 5+ years relevant experience • Have strong self management skills. • Have strong Quality and Audit experience • Ability to carry out in house training an advantage • IT skills required, i.e. Microsoft Office.

What you will do

These are permanent roles based in various locations around Ireland or at various locations in the United Kingdom depending on the hire location; the roles will include site visits.

Position Details

Duties will include:

  • Compiling various reports in relation to H&S on the company’s sites;
  • Site Inspections;
  • Reviewing / compiling safety statements;
  • Safety compliance within the company;
  • Reviewing accident and incident HSEQ reports, coordinating investigations and advising on recommendations to prevent recurrences;
  • Supporting the operations team on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters;
  • Liaising with external bodies e.g. enforcing agencies.
